SOCIAL MEDIA COMMENT POLICY

Below you’ll find our updated 2020 social media policy. It applies to our campaign staff and those visiting this site. We hold ourselves accountable in making sure we are factual and professional in the information we share.

The Kelly for CHA campaign encourages interaction and conversation about the content we post as well as general questions and concerns. However, this does not mean that the campaign agrees with or accepts the content expressed within any public comment. Whether a message comes from our staff or from the public, the campaign intends to make sure that information posted to our page is factual and accurate.

NOTE: We reserve the right to remove any comment that violates the terms of this social media comment policy. In extreme instances, we also reserve the right to block individuals from our site.

Responses to comments may be clarified to truthfully reflect statements. We reserve the right to delete or hide comments based on the following:

• Any comment that includes “hate speech” (speech that targets people or groups based on any protected status);

• Threatening, abusive or harassing comments;

• Personal attacks of any kind or defamatory statements (any comment mentioning a specific individual or group);

• Anonymous comments;

• Comments that breach confidentiality laws;

• Comments with links to inappropriate or obscene content;

• Spam or posts that promote or advertise commercial services or products;• Any comment that encourages illegal or destructive activity;

• Duplicate or off-topic posts;

• Any comment that violates Facebook’s Community Standards

Anyone participating in posts that violate this social media comment policy may be temporarily or permanently excluded from posting on this Facebook page.We intend to be as open as possible with the community and we encourage an open forum; however, inaccurate or malicious information or posts will not be allowed. Questions regarding comments will be addressed as necessary.
